Innovation in Engagement Award—Parkland College
Marietta Turner has served as dean of students at Parkland College since 2008. She serves as all students’ advocate and as the judicial administrator for the College. She also serves as the campus liaison for the Wesley Pantry at Parkland and has oversight of the Parkland Athletics and Student Life departments. Her career in higher education spans over twenty years. Her bachelor’s degree is from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Liberal Arts, History/Education, a master’s degree from Governor’s State University in Communications and Training and is completing a doctorate in Adult and Higher Education at Northern Illinois University.
